Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV) delivers innovative programs that save lives and deepen human-animal connection. Our Model Shelter* and the people and programs within it redefine what is possible in the field of animal welfare. HSSV is a leader in the national animal welfare arena. We are supported by a passionate group of stakeholders including employees, volunteers, donors and customers of our many programs that save lives and build community. We are represented by individuals from various disciplines and sectors, and have an engaged and skilled board of directors. Because of our passion and drive to collaborate within and outside our walls, we have achieved a 95% save rate. As we continue to increase the number of animals we save each year, we are dedicated to also taking in more animals with complex medical and behavioral needs, ensuring they have a second chance at a happy life in a loving family. As an organization, we believe in the strength of using data to inform and shape our decisions and processes across every department and that every area of our work should drive measurable impact. HSSV has developed a strong culture of philanthropy and prioritizes ensuring there are impact stories and strong operational KPIs to lead our solicitation efforts.
