Summary of Development Department The Development Department raises funds for the entire AFSC with development staff based both in the National Office and some regional offices. This is carried out by mail appeals to current and prospective donors; online giving; person-to-person solicitation of annual contributions, outright major gifts and planned gifts; cultivation of grants from foundations, corporations and other institutions; as well as other methods as are appropriate and feasible. Summary of Principal Responsibilities As part of the Operations team, the Development Associate's primary responsibility is to implement and manage a comprehensive stewardship program designed to foster and nurture long-term, meaningful relationships between AFSC and its donors. The Development Associate will collaborate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders including program staff, donors, development officers, and others, in reporting back to donors on the activity supported by their campaign, planned, major, and annual gifts. Compensation: Salary $50,922 with minimal flexibility based on experience –Exempt – Comprehensive medical and hospitalization plan; term life, accident and salary continuation insurances, defined benefit pension plan, plus fringe benefits; participation in unemployment and worker’s compensation and social security.
