Shriners Hospitals for Children seeks to hire an ambitious, dynamic, knowledgeable and team focused Senior Director of Planned Giving. The Senior Director will develop and implement a forward thinking and donor focused strategic plan that will enable donors to maximize their philanthropic support for the Hospitals’ patients, physicians, caregivers, and researchers.
For over 100 years, Shriners Hospitals for Children have changed lives on a daily basis through innovative pediatric specialty care, world-class research, and outstanding medical education. Shriners Hospitals is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and relies on the generosity of donors to help its world-class physicians, nurses, and researchers provide advanced care for children with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate. This care is provided with a focus on building relationships with patients and their families by providing warmhearted, personalized experiences for each patient.
The Senior Director of Planned Giving will develop and execute an effective plan to ensure that a healthy pipeline of planned giving prospects is always in place. The Senior Director will manage a portfolio of planned giving donors and will collaborate with Gift Officers at headquarters and hospital locations around the country by educating them about planned giving strategies and by developing partnerships which will boost the attainment of both planned and current gifts. The Senior Director will bring a depth of knowledge and best practices to the role to ensure that the full range of planned giving options are utilized and made available to donors. The Senior Director will oversee the Hospitals’ Dream Makers Legacy Society. Reporting to the Corporate Director of Major and Planned Giving, these two will work closely in the development and management of an innovative marketing program.

- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred
- Minimum of ten years of planned giving experience, preferabley in a national or healthcare organization
- Demonstrated success in managing a planned giving program utilizing creative and successful approaches to planned giving
- Ability to develop and execute a comprehensive and sophisticated strategic plan that will result in completed blended gifts and documented planned gifts through individual effort and partnering with other gift officers and organizational leaders.
