Job Summary:
The Director of Planned Giving will be responsible for leading and executing all planned giving activities across the nation including marketing, developing and closing planned gifts, stewarding planned giving donors, and supporting the development team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify, qualify, cultivate, and solicit planned, current, and deferred gifts from individuals within a defined portfolio to support NWTF's conservation goals.
Build a culture around gifts of assets, including providing educational opportunities for NWTF staff and donors on diverse giving types.
Create and implement planned giving marketing strategies using Crescendo Interactive.
Expand the Full Strut Club, NWTF’s legacy society, to foster lasting relationships with donors and facilitate their desire to leave a conservation legacy.
Collaborate with NWTF partners on proposals and illustrations to secure funding for conservation priorities, educational programs, and the NWTF endowment.
Partner with fundraising staff and volunteers to increase awareness of planned giving and grow philanthropic revenue.
Attend annual NWTF Convention, regional meetings and training opportunities, as necessary.
Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Familiarity with conservation-related organizations or demonstrated commitment to environmental causes.
Strong understanding of planned giving concepts, with a willingness to learn Crescendo Interactive planned giving software.
Excellent relationship-building skills, especially with high-net-worth individuals.
Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills; capable of guiding colleagues and volunteers.
Proven track record of successfully securing major and planned gifts.
Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Strong oral and written communication abilities.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, and Excel.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree, with relevant certifications or memberships in philanthropic organizations (e.g., AFP, CGP).
Minimum of 2-3 years of fundraising experience, with an emphasis on planned/estate giving.
Familiarity with major gift fundraising and comprehensive fundraising campaigns.
Strong conservation ethic and an interest in outdoor conservation activities.
Requires knowledge of complex financial and legal instruments
Willingness and ability to travel extensively to meet with NWTF donors, prospects, and volunteers.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
